Totally Matlabbed

3 subjects at my studies consist of Matlab: ANN, Management in Construction Industry, Computing Methods. Blee. From now on I will be trying to use other IT-utilities. Yes. But still using Matlab-but trying to develop this area (e.g. GUI).
I'm thinking of using Java. I've even bought a book: "Head First Java" some time ago, it's been waiting for my attention.
